Health is very important thing and every breeder should test their breeding "stock" for at least the very basic health tests. And these test should be done, depending on test, up to each year.

At Stormblåstens we go through many health tests: serveral different kind of eyetests; for CERF-type testing, dry eye tests, OptiGen-type test for PRA mutation, PLL tests etc. and we also test kneejoints (patella) and heart. In many cases heart is tested "unofficially" but it doesn't make any difference - for official test you get a paper what says result, unofficial test you do not get papers. The test itself is perfectly same.

At Stormblåstens we are honest about the health issues in our breeding and if you need any information for these dogs, please do not hesitate to contact me, i will tell whatever i know. The page is done in Finnish because majority of our puppies are sold and living in Finland with Finnish people.
